I am a Counsellor and Psychologist and have been in the mental health industry for more than 15 years. Presently the Director of Clinical Training at Monash University Malaysia, I coordinate the Counselling Practicum and Counselling Internship while supervising counselling students for their clinical practice.
I have played many different roles such as a Private Counsellor, Lecturer, Counselling Supervisor, Corporate Trainer, Talent Assessor, and Head of Product Development in a social enterprise. Featured previously in MyStarjobs and Readers Digest, I am a regular speaker on topics such as stress management, human personality, communication, and career decision making. With a passion to help the masses, I now focus on training the next generation of counsellors to ensure more people get mental health support.
In counselling, I have three main passions: individuals in crisis, people seeking clarity, and couples in distress. By seeing me, you can expect greater clarity and self-awareness prior to deciding what to do, as well as support as you carry out your plans. I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients engage in a value-driven life. You can also engage me for existential or career conversations.
When I am not working, I am busy being a dad to three kids and a husband to one wife. I enjoy my daily cup of latte, listening and jamming to smooth jazz, and reading about the advances in tech and Artificial Intelligence.
