About Anujah
My interest and passion in psychology began as a high school student who was always the quiet, introspective type. I enjoyed observing human behaviours and was often curious about the personalities and emotions of those around me. An undergraduate degree in psychology allowed me to explore various theories and approaches used to understand the human mind, emotions and behaviour. Seven years post-graduation, I decided to pursue my Masters in Counselling in order to better equip myself as a mental health professional so I would be able to reach out and serve my local community better.
As part of my training, I have worked with a variety of populations including the homeless, university students, children, young adults, adults and survivors of domestic violence. I have experience in conducting both individual and group therapy.
My approach to therapy is to work together with my clients to build a holistic picture of their goals and then address them as a team. I mostly employ CTRT theories and techniques in my sessions while also utilising a family systems approach.
My areas of interest are grief, adjustment and coping issues, stress, anxiety, depression as well as couple and family relationships. I enjoy working with diverse populations and am continuously motivated by the strength and resilience I see in my clients.
